Samuel's Baptism

Samuel became the newest baptized member of St. Simons Presbyterian Church during our 61st church anniversary. He smiled and stuck out his tongue for much of the ceremony, and we were really excited to commit him to a life in the church. It was a wonderful day.

congrats! What a special moment for you all. Did you sing "child of blessing, child of promise"?

If your church did sing 'child of blessing, child of promise' and is sick of doing so, try the Psalter Hymnal #272. You'll like it much more.

Our church sings "Jesus Loves Me" to the child as he/she is presented to the congregation. I know it sounds a tad hokey, but I enjoy the simplicity of the gospel message offered. We didn't have any other music for that part of the service, and sad to say, there is no psalter in the pew.

I like the use of Jesus Loves Me. It's actually inclusive of any children that might be sitting in the pews.

Glad to hear you're all doing well.

Welcome to the church, Samuel! Sounds like a wonderful family day.

From the family picture, it looks like Annika taught Samuel to stick his tongue.

We miss you guys!
